Transforming urban transportation in Kano, Nigeria through user-centered design
Keke riders in Kano face daily challenges with price negotiation, long waiting times, and inefficient driver-passenger matching. I set out to create a seamless digital solution.
Conducted surveys with 20+ Keke riders using Google Forms and street interviews with drivers to understand pain points, behaviors, and needs.
Deep-dive interviews revealed fuel waste from passenger searching and the critical need for efficient trip matching algorithms.
Developed high-fidelity screens using Keke-inspired green and yellow, ensuring cultural relevance and intuitive usability for diverse users.
Incorporate Hausa, Yoruba, and Igbo languages to ensure inclusive access across Nigeria's diverse linguistic landscape.
Scale Kekezo to other states and cities, bringing improved transportation solutions to communities nationwide.
Implement AI-powered route optimization, in-app safety features, and digital payment integration for seamless transactions.
